Nursery sneak peek

With only three weeks to go until my due date, our baby's nursery is all done!  I really enjoyed gathering all the bits and pieces for the room. There's no one-stop shop for baby stuff in Shanghai, so it has been a bit of a mission to gather everything I needed and wanted. But I got there in the end.

As we don't know the sex of our little one, I've opted for a fairly neutral colour palette. White and green with lots of primary colours. I am in love with the artworks: the huge photographic print on one wall (which inspired the whole room) came from Ikea and I ordered the "Little Darlings" prints online from the The Animal Print Shop in the US. My other favourite feature is the Japanese paper origami mobile hanging over the cot. I ordered it online from Etsy. All other furniture is from Ikea, except for the giant lego piece which I picked up in a Singapore design store a couple of years ago.

  1. Beautiful nursery, Mary! Where did you find the baby toy that's next to the crib? Or if it was someplace obscure, could you tell me what company manufactured it? Thanks!

  2. Hi Alyssa, I'm so glad you like our nursery. I bought the baby gym from Ikea. It's in the Leka series of products and took me about 5 minutes to put together with the help of a small screwdriver. Not sure if it's available worldwide, but here it is in Shanghai: http://www.ikea.com/cn/en/catalog/products/60167704/
