Celebrities naming their children with weird names is not new. But Mariah Carey has called her new twins with husband Nick Cannon, wait for it, Moroccan and Monroe. Wouldn't Morocco be better than Moroccan? At least it's a noun. And Moroccan Cannon? Sweet Lord.
But worse is where she got inspiration for the name from. As People reports:
"As for the inspiration behind the names, Monroe was named after Marilyn Monroe, who has been an inspiration to Carey, 42, while Moroccan comes from the top-tier of Carey's New York City apartment, which features Moroccan-inspired décor and was also the site of Cannon's marriage proposal."
So now we're naming children after temporary decors in rooftop apartments. That's a new one. What a shame the decor wasn't Shabby Chic. We could have had a Shabby Chic Cannon in our midst.
